- May 29, 2019 The 'Presets' button is currently designed for user-created presets anyway, so it would seem confusing to put anything that ships with Vray in there. So far as maintaining connections to other nodes, that is a rabbit hole but I would guess that yes if a shader already has those sorts of incoming connections then a user is going to want to.
- Asset files are shared between other V-Ray products if they are also installed on the system, e.g. V-Ray 5 for 3ds Max and V-Ray 5 for Rhino. Note that the first time the Preset Material Library is opened during a new SketchUp session, V-Ray connects to the Chaos servers to validate the completeness of the downloaded assets and check for updates.

I'm working on an interior scene of a loft and am having issues with render settings. It is a 2 minute fly through animation. I've been messing with a lot of my settings trying to optimize render time without compromising quality. Currently I'm averaging about 80 minutes per frame! That is even after I precalculate the Light Cache and Irradiance maps!
I've attached images of my settings as well as sample frames. Any ideas of things I can change?
Anyone know of any links or willing to post their Render Preset Files (.rps) for VRay for different scenarios at least as a starting point?
